The Fitness Centre
The Fitness Centre (gym) offers state of the art PULSE cardiovascular and resistance equipment designed to give you a complete fitness workout.
You need to be over 16 years old (or 14 if with a parent/guardian) to use the Fitness Centre (Gym) and customers will need to complete our online registration form and attend an induction before being allowed to use the equipment. We have fantastic rates for joining the pool and fitness centre. With the exception of some of the Pilates all classes are included in the full membership. You can also use the Fitness Centre on a pay-as-you-go basis, which includes concessionary prices for people on benefits or over 60 years old.
Opening times and prices
The Fitness Centre is open from 6:15am to 9.30pm (Monday to Friday), 8:30am to 4:30pm (Saturday and Sunday). 09:30-16:30 on Bank Holidays. Christmas Eve & New Years eve 06:15-13:30. The last entry is 45 minutes before we close. A fitness instructor is present at all times. We have a number of membership options, but also customers can just come along and workout.

Junior/Concession/OAP £4.60* (please see note below)
Inductions are a requirement of most gyms in the UK and you shouldn't be using equipment without first being shown how to use it safely. If you intend to 'pay as you go' then our inductions will cost you either £16.50 or £8.25 (see note below) but they are included free of charge within any full membership. You will need to pay for your induction before you start. If you choose to become a member we will require you to make a pro-rota payment until your first direct debit is collected. Please check with a member of staff when you book in for your induction.
For your induction you will need:
- a good pair of supportive trainers
- tracksuit bottoms/shorts
- loose top to allow a good range of movement
- a small training / sweat towel (available to buy at reception)
- a water bottle (you can buy these from reception and we provide a water fountain for free)
- payment for your induction or bank details for your membership.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All new customers must have an induction prior to using our fitness equipment for the first time. If you have had an induction eleswhere, you'll still need to do an induction here. But we will not charge you to do this again or if it's longer than 6 months since you last used our fitness equipment.
