Household waste - disposal sites

Information about Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) provided by North Yorkshire County Council.

There are two HWRCs in Craven, where you can take most types of household wastes.  This includes waste that we are unable to collect from the kerbside as part of the bulky household waste collection service.

These centres are located at:

Sowarth Field Industrial Estate
Settle
BD24 9AB

Skibeden Household Waste Recycling Centre
A59, Harrogate Road
Skipton
BD23 6AB

The opening times for all sites are:

April to September 8.30 am - 7.00 pm;
October and March 8.30 am - 5.00 pm; and
November to February 8.30 am - 4.00 pm.

Please note: the HWRCs will no longer be open to accept materials on Wednesdays from 1st July 2011. Opening hours on other days remain unaffected.  The sites will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.
