My Community Rights 

The Community Rights are a set of powers which give you more control over your community. You can now have a say in what happens to important local amenities such as shops, parks and pubs.

Community Organisers

The Community Organisers programme will create a new home-grown movement of community organising for the 21st century, emerging directly from the strengths, concerns and hopes of all kinds of neighbourhoods across England.

Media Trust

The Media Trust are a charity organisation who are able to offer media support on almost anything from looking over a press release or getting your website ranking higher online, to mentoring disadvantaged young people on media projects.

Swapaskill

Swap what you can give or can do for what you need. Get what you want - do something you're good at, or give something you don't need.

Big Lunch

The Big Lunch is a very simple idea from the Eden Project. The aim is to get as many people as possible across the whole of the UK to have lunch with their neighbours once a year in a simple act of community, friendship and fun.

The Big Tidy Up

Litter is a big problem but we can all do something about it to help keep England clean and tidy. Keep Britain Tidy's campaign is set to get the entire country cleaning up so order your free clean-up kit now and get tidying!

Business Link

Business Link offer lots of good resources for starting up your own business, some of which would be useful for starting a community project such as a blank business plan template which is very useful for thinking through your project ideas for example, when you are going to do it, who's going to play a part and how you will manage the finances.

Village SOS Toolbox

 Village SOS has developed a range of Village SOS-branded tools, templates and giveaways to help you promote your community enterprise and rally local support. There's a series of posters, each themed to suit your type of enterprise; a newsletter template to keep your community up-to-date on the latest news; and a sample questionnaire to gauge local support and refine your ideas, a business plan template and website graphics for your website or social media channels.

 Craven District Council Community Engagement Toolkit [1Mb]

Gives advice and guidance on how to engage with specific groups and techniques and methods you could use to engage with these groups. The Toolkit also outlines the CDC procedures regarding community engagement and has a number of useful forms to help you with this.

Rural Action Yorkshire have designed a range of support to help you with your community-led plans. Whether you are looking for advice to get you started on the right track, or are looking for assistance to develop your community survey and analyse the results.
