Road Closure and Parking info

Due to the Races, a handful of the Town Centre roads will be closed from 4.45pm to around 10pm.

Road diversions will be in place to ensure traffic can move around the town, but there will be no vehicle access onto the race route or into the middle of the race route area during the above time. Traffic will be able to move between Keighley road and Newmarket Street by way of a Stop / Go traffic control. All other parts of the race route will be fully closed to vehicles.

On Street parking restrictions will also apply to the race route to ensure that it is clear for the race.  This will be for the street parking on Water Street, Coach Street, Swadford Street and the High street and will take effect from 3pm to midnight.  The Council has suspended car parking charges on its pay and display car parks from 4.30pm for residents to move their vehicles, if they need to get out during the race period.  This does not apply to the Coach Street car park, which will be closed as on the race route.  Vehicles will be able to leave up to 6.30pm from this car park.  The Town Hall car park will be accessible via the Bailey and then Jerry Croft as well as Bunkers Hill / Rectory Lane.
