Details about Ingleton Cemetery.

Due to stringent government guidelines regarding Covid 19 and social distancing, we have had to make the decision to limit the amount of attendees to our cremation and burial services.

From Monday 30 March we kindly ask that direct family only attend services and that you still adhere to guidance regarding social distancing, please do not attend if you fall in the high risk category or are showing any signs of Covid 19.

Our webcasting service, which is available up to 28 days after the service, is available for all chapel services, please contact the family and their Funeral Director for more information.

Due to Covid-19 social distancing regulations, we have had to make the hard decision to close the Book of Remembrance Chapel. Therefore, the book will no longer be able to be viewed in person, for the foreseeable future.

The book can be viewed online at any time by visiting www.remembrance-books.com/skipton/book-of-remembrance.html

We sincerely apologise for any distress this will cause however, we have a duty of care to everyone attending our services and the staff working at the crematorium.

Purchasing a Grave

The Exclusive Right of Burial, in Ingleton and Waltonwrays, can be purchased for a period of 30 or 60 years, with an interment fee payable at the time of use.

Our graves are typically earth graves for up to 2 coffins but we do have bricked graves and vaults available. The graves can also accommodate up to 8 sets of cremated remains. It must be noted that once cremated remains have been interred it will close off the grave to future full burials.

We also have Half Graves available that can accommodate up to 4 sets of cremated remains making them a perfect resting place for families and allowing visitors the option of making a small garden at the head of the grave.

For more advice and information on purchasing a grave please see our booklet. A copy of which can also be found at the Crematorium Office, Skipton.
