Broadband Connectivity in New Developments

Understand the options for ensuring new developments in Craven have access appropriate broadband connectivity

Broadband infrastructure which is up-to-date and fit for purpose is essential to meet the advancing needs of businesses and individual users and a key utility for maintaining sustainable communities.

Those considering new developments in the District are encouraged to make early enquiries with telecommunication providers to understand and plan the connectivity requirements of the development.  Lead times for some providers could be in excess of 9 months in advance of the date of first occupation.

To assist developers in early discussions the District Council has provided an informal briefing note entitled "Broadband Connectivity in New Developments - A briefing Note for Developers".  The purpose of this briefing note is to provide background information regarding broadband connectivity options for those considering new development in the District and to encourage early discussions with telecommunication providers.
