What is the Craven Coronavirus Grant Scheme?
The scheme has been introduced to support grass-roots organisations with funding for key supplies for vulnerable residents.You do not need to be a formal, constituted group to be eligible.
The scheme has a total budget of £10,000 to give out to community support groups across Craven.
Community Support Groups can apply for between £50 and £500.
Monies from the fund will not be paid directly, items/services will be purchased by Craven District Council on behalf of applicants and collection arranged.
Please note Private Businesses, Companies and Schools are not eligible to apply.
What can the fund be used for?
Craven District Council can provide funding to community mutual aid groups to deal with emerging issues and to reduce the impact of isolation as a result of the threat of Covid-19.
This may include (but will not be restricted to)
Initiatives to support wellbeing of residents particularly those living alone
Support for initiatives that will help to ensure people remain safely connected with the outside world during this time.
Support for people facing social isolation, poverty and poor mental health during this time

Please note the Craven Coronavirus Grant Scheme will not pay for direct cash grants or food as alternative sources of funding are available through the North Yorkshire Local Assistance Fund.
How to Apply
The scheme opened on April 1st 2020 and will remain open until all funding is allocated.
