Pre-bookable gym sessions

Before you head to the gym we need to make you aware that there will be some changes to how these sessions operate and also how we will ask you to use the facility.

Your Membership
• Your membership will be re-activated for bookings on the 9th April, 3 days ahead of re-opening.
• No membership fees will be taken on the 1st April.
• Your direct debits will be restarted from the 15st April and the 1st May 2021
• If you have a paid-in-full membership, your remaining time will be automatically extended to account for closure.
• If you wish to keep your membership frozen you must contact us by email.

Book your Gym workout.

You will need to book gym sessions online.

Gym sessions will be pre-bookable up to 3 days in advance and be limited to 5 sessions per rolling 7 days from Monday April 12th (increased from 4 sessions previously). This will be reviewed regularly to give customers a fair chance of booking a workout in the gym.

In this period we will need to limit the number of users in the facility at any one time and also the amount of users and staff in the gym.

We have created the ability for you to pre-book and pay for a time slot in one of our Gym sessions throughout the day. Just select 'Fitness suite' then pick your time slot.

If you do not already have a membership with us then sign up for a casual users' membership which will give you the ability to book and pre-pay online with us once you have been into the centre and signed our disclaimer form at main reception. Inductions are not available during this time curently. We are not accepting new memberships at this time.

Before arriving for your Gym session

Please do not come to the facility if you are showing any symptoms of Covid-19 (temperature, cough, difficulty breathing, or anosmia - loss of taste or smell).

We will be asking you to queue outside of the building before your session. Where possible arrive no more than 5 minutes before your session to keep the queue to a minimum and if you are early then please wait in your car. 

On entry a register will be taken and your temperature will be taken before access is allowed (if you have a high temperature you will be refused access).

Please consider the following guidance:

Arrive ready to workout: Arrive with your clean gym kit on. Gym Changing rooms and showers are not currently open. Changing rooms will be open  but the showers will remain closed. Toilets are available.  Once you have finished the gym , leave the gym as soon as you can by the top fire exit in the Gym, the instructor will tell you when the time slot is coming to an end and you must leave promptly 

Sanitise: When you enter the centre please ensure to sanitise your hands and help us to keep cross contamination to a minimum. Wipe down all equipment used with sprays and blue towel provided and bin straight after cleaning each machine. 

Equipment: Only equipment 2m apart will be used. Please bring your own water bottle filled up and the water fountain will be available for refills. Don't bring a sweat towel into the gym, instead use the blue roll which will be provided.

Cleaning: Touch points of all equipment and any sweat must be cleaned down by customers, with sprays and blue roll provided. Please bin paper roll immediately and do not carry from machine to machine.

Shower at home before and after gym session

Extra signage regarding social distancing will be in place around free-weights areas

Maximum Gym capacity will be based on a minimum of 10ft x 10ft per person.

In and around the facility

There is a one-way system in place, please follow the signage.

You will enter the building as normal at your designated session time. You will not be permitted to enter earlier than the start time. We ask that you follow directional signs in the centre.

On leaving the gym you will be directed to leave via the fire exit doors at the top of the gym by the free-weights, enabling our team to control the flow of users in and out of the building, also ensuring we start each session on time.

In the Gym

The maximum gym capacity will be based on a minimum of 10ft x 10ft per person. 

People of different standards and abilities will use the gym. Please respect their right to enjoy the gym.

Do not make physical contact with other participants.

Direction. Please follow the directional signs and move across to the appropriate side of the machines.

Space. Always maintain appropriate social distance between yourself and another gym user and our staff.

On finishing your session

Please ensure you leave the building in a timely manner.

Our team will notify you when your session has ended and we would ask that you leave the gym on time. Our showers will be closed for the time being and we ask that you shower at home. This will help to keep the time used at the centre to a minimum and the changeover time can be maintained. 

The next session will begin when the Gym has emptied and cleaned, again, we ask that all gym users aid us in keeping the change over time to a minimum.

When you leave the gym you are asked to leave via the fire exit door at the top of the gym near the free weights.
