Take a stroll across the beautiful Yorkshire countryside and take in a few hills along the way

The team here at Craven Leisure hope you will join us in walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge on Saturday 25th June 2022 in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

including summiting Pen-y-ghent (694m), Whernside (736m) and Ingleborough (723m) in less than 12 hours.

We have created some gym programes and challenges to help you get into tip top condition before taking on the light amble along with an ascent of 1585m (5200ft) across some of yorkshire's most stunning scenery.

We are keen to see as many volunteers as possible coming together to walk this team challenge and experience the joy of looking out from each of the 3 peaks.

Our Fitness Team have designed a gym challenge and fitness programmes to get you stronger and fitter for the walk, and also an outdoor walking programme you can try! Just ask one our friendly fitness instructors.

You will be talking about this for years to come, particulary over a nice cold drink at the end of it all!

There are many stories out there about this challenge and this one sums it up really well.

"I read the reviews before I did this challenge as I was worried because I did zero training and me and my mates organised to do it, I was going to pull out but there were some people saying they did it with no training at all like myself, my advice is start at about 7am don’t give up and you will finish it, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever done but it was amazing, take plenty to food, 2/4 litres of water and hiking sticks help, take a couple of spare pairs of socks, I changed mine when having a break and aired my feet off, we only stopped three times for about 20 mins for food and stopped a couple of mins here and there on the really hard bits and did it in 10 hours, it’s some achievement to finish it and a few pints after we’re the best I’ve ever tasted 😂 don’t underestimate this walk it’s brutal on the legs and feet take some ibuprofen with you as well but go and do it it’s class."

Entry is just £10, including a return coach from Craven Leisure, a t-shirt and refreshments.

In return, we ask that you raise as much money as you can in aid of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

This event is open to anyone over the age of 16. Please consider that the terrain in places will be very uneven.

After signing up one of our team members will be in touch with further details.
