Salary from £24,100 pro rata dependent upon qualifications and experience

The postholder will work mainly from the clerks / council office in the Town Hall and the hours of work may be flexible except for attendance at meetings.
Applicants must be IT literate, and computer equipment will be supplied. The Council equipment and files will be stored in the Town Hall and you must be available to attend Council meetings on the first Monday evening of each month (except Bank Holidays) together with sub-committee meetings as and when these are called.
Duties will include acting as advisor to the Council, minute taking, compilation of correspondence, filing and accounts in addition to being the Responsible Financial Officer to the Council. The role is also responsible for the management and marketing of the community building and open spaces including the playing fields and cemetery.
Prior relevant experience is an advantage but training in all aspects of local government administration, leading to CiLCA qualification will be provided.
