Our Bereavement Services team is looking for a high quality gardener to work within our 2 cemeteries. Closing Date: 7th April 2019

20 hours per week

£17,861 - £18,673 (£9,655 - £10,094 pro rata)

Craven District Council is located in Skipton, North Yorkshire and with excellent road and rail links to both Leeds and Bradford is easily accessible.

Craven, 'the Gateway to the Dales' is an area of outstanding beauty, rich with heritage and charming villages and you will be at the heart of the Council's ambitious plans for improving our services.

Craven District Council's Bereavement Services team is looking for a high quality gardener to work within our 2 cemeteries, Waltonwrays Cemetery in Skipton, and Ingleton Cemetery.  The main base is Waltonwrays Cemetery.

We are looking for an all round, committed individual who will develop the 2 cemeteries, bringing their overall maintenance to a high standard and introducing innovative ideas for their improvement.

Due to the nature of the service area and the location of work it is essential that all duties are undertaken in a dignified and understanding manner so it will be essential for the post holder to be sympathetic and undertake their duties with the utmost care and diligence.

The role will include work which is physically demanding and require working outside in all weather conditions.
