22.5 hours per week
Salary: £17,007 - £17,391 pro rata
The new role will also be combined with support for delivery of Museum activity (e.g. dealing with museum enquiries, ensuring excellent presentation standards and assisting with the preparation and delivery of school visit activity etc.)
We are seeking a motivated individual with a positive outlook and strong team working skills to provide a friendly and professional front of house service for Craven Museum, whilst also acting as support for delivery of the Museum’s activity and objectives.
Craven Museum is located within Skipton Town Hall and is about to go through a major redevelopment, as an integral part of the Town Hall’s exciting journey to become a cultural hub for the Craven region.
As such, the building will be closed for a period in 2019/20, during which the post-holder would be expected to be flexible, assisting other members of the team with relevant project work, often working at a different location within Skipton Town Centre, and occasionally at other venues in Craven (for which transport would be provided) as the Museum goes ‘on tour’.
This is a busy, varied role within an enthusiastic team, so if you have the necessary skills and are passionate about working within the cultural sector we’d love to hear from you.
For an informal discussion, or if you have any questions about the post, please contact Rachel Terry, Museum & Collections Officer 01756 706317 firstname.lastname@example.org
Closing Date: 1st July 2018
