Craven Leisure will reopen from July 25th

Craven District Council is reopening Craven Leisure’s pool and gym from July 25 in line with Government guidance.

All visits to the centre can be pre-booked online from Wednesday July 22 at www.cravendc.gov.uk/craven-leisure/book-activities-online or by telephoning the centre on 01756 792805.

Swim and gym sessions can be pre-booked up to three days in advance, and the timetables are available online at www.cravendc.gov.uk/craven-leisure

Craven Leisure memberships are being activated for bookings on July 22; however, no membership fees will be taken in August.

Direct debits will be reinstated from September 1st with a 50% discount, followed by a 25% discount in October and full price in November.

Anthony Slater, Deputy Manager at Craven Leisure, said: “We’re delighted to announce that we can welcome customers back to the pool and gym at Craven Leisure from Saturday July 25.

“Our team have been working hard to make sure that we have a safe, clean and enjoyable environment for you to enjoy.

“There will be some new procedures in place so if you are planning a visit to the pool or gym, please make sure you have read all the information on our website.

“I would like to thank all our customers for their support during this time – we can’t wait to see them back in the centre.”

Social distancing floor markings and signage are in place and the number of customers will be limited. Hand sanitiser and cleaning stations have been installed throughout the building. All equipment has been repositioned or relocated to allow for social distancing, and there is a rigorous cleaning schedule which includes cleaning between each pre-booked session.

Customers are asked to arrive ready to exercise, as the gym changing rooms will not be open. They are asked to avoid arriving early if possible, to minimise any queues outside the building, and to respect social distancing and follow signage throughout the leisure centre. Customers can bring a drink but are asked not to bring a sweat towel into the gym. Anyone with any symptoms of Covid-19 should not attend the centre.

The Revive Café at Craven Leisure is also open and toilet facilities are available.
