Draft Affordable Housing Supplementary Planning Document: Craven Local Plan
Start date: Tuesday 1st September 2020
End date: Tuesday 13th October 2020
This draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD), in accordance with the glossary of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) adds further detail to the policies of the development plan, specifically the Craven Local Plan. The need to provide this SPD was agreed at the examination of the Local Plan and paragraph 6.20 of the Local Plan’s supporting text confirms the Council’s commitment to its publication. The delivery of affordable homes for local people is an important Council objective and an SPD which assists applicants in preparing and submitting policy compliant planning applications for affordable housing will contribute to this objective.
The Council is aware that the Government is currently consulting on a fundamental reform of the planning system and some changes to the NPPF that will affect the delivery of affordable homes as well as many other matters. This does not obviate the need for the Council to seek to approve this draft SPD following public consultation.
Comments on the draft SPD should be received no later than the end date, above, and may be submitted by email (preferred) to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to Planning Policy, Craven District Council, 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 1FJ. Paper copies of the draft SPD are available for inspection at the Council's main reception, which is currently open from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday.
In making your representations please be as clear as possible about which parts of the SPD you are referring to. You should make specific reference to the relevant paragraph numbers and sections in your response. There are no representation forms for this consultation.
