On 18th May 2018, Clapham cum Newby Parish Council took the first formal step towards making a neighbourhood plan by submitting an application to designate a 'neighbourhood area'. As the proposed neighbourhood area covers the whole parish, which extends across the national park boundary, the application was submitted to both Craven District Council and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority. The application has been published for consultation by the two local planning authorities and people who live, work or carry on business in the proposed neighbourhood area are invited to comment. For full details of the consultation, including how to submit comments, please visit our consultations webpage.
