Lindy-Hop is a fun and energetic vintage dance craze from the 1930s/40s. It is the most popular swing dance style which includes iconic Charleston moves.
Over the years it has seen many revivals but now it is bigger than ever thanks to Lindy-Hop legend, Frankie Manning returning to it in 1986. Since then it has only grown and can now be found in every corner of the world. In memory of Frankie Manning we hold World Lindy-Hop day on his birthday, 26th May, to spread the joy and happiness that is Lindy-Hop!
Expect lots of free taster classes, demonstrations and a social dance time in the day around Skipton, then the ticketed big night out at Skipton Town Hall in the evening!
