Statement of Accounts

The Statement of Accounts is intended to give electors, members, employees and other interested parties clear information about the Authority's finances.

The purpose of the Statement of Accounts is to provide answers to basic questions such as:

  1. What did the Council's services cost in the year of account ?
  2. Where did the money come from ?
  3. What did the Council own and owe at the end of the financial year?

The Statement of Accounts is prepared in accordance with the Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting.

The Statement of Accounts, for the year ended 31 March 2017, is now available; please see downloads to the right of this page. 

Copies in alternative formats or languages can be made available on request.

Copies of the Statement of Accounts for the financial years 2015/2016, 2014/2015, 2013/2014, 2012/2013, 2011/2012, 2010/2011 and 2009/2010 financial year can also be downloaded from this web page.  Earlier years are available on request.
