Belvedere is a development by Seddon homes. 

Belvedere is located on the site of Malsis Hall – a grand Victorian residence built in 1866. Malsis Hall was converted into a school in 1920.  The school closed in 2014 and will be fully refurbished as part of the development. 

The following homes are currently available through Wakefield District Housing (WDH).

  • 21/23 and 25 Jackson Row - 3 bed houses @ a rent of £121.15 per week 
  • 20/22/27/29 Jackson Row - 2 bed houses @ a rent of £105.96 per week

 

These homes will be advertised on North Yorkshire Homechoice. Please ensure that you are registered and check the website weekly in order to place a bid for one of these homes when they become available.

12/14/16 and 18 Jackson Row - 3 bed homes available @ £116,250 for a 50% share. A monthly rent of £266.41 and a service charge is payable. Other shares are available.

Eligibility:

In order to qualify for the properties on this development you must have a local connection. You must:

    •  Have lived in the search area for 3 years out of the preceding 5

    •  Have previously lived in the search area for 20 years or half the person's lifetime (subject to a minimum of 10 years)

    •  Have immediate family (mother, father, brother or sister) who have lived in the search area for a continuous period of 10 years or more

    •  Have undertaken regular, permanent employment throughout the last 6 months with a company within the search area and needs to move to continue employment. The company must have been established for 3 years or more and the employment must be for 16 hours per week for a minimum of 12 months. 

      The search area is defined as the Gusburn Ward (parishes of Glusburn and Crosshills) in the first instance but in the event that no one with a local connection can be found - then the search will cascade out to the whole of Craven.
