There are two spatial planning consultations running at the moment

1. Draft Good Design Supplementary Planning Document

2. Draft Rural Workers' Dwellings Supplementary Planning Document


Draft Good Design Supplementary Planning Document

Start date: Monday 13th September 2021

End date: Monday 11th October 2021

This draft Supplementary Planning Document (SPD), in accordance with the glossary of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), adds further detail to the policies of the development plan, specifically the Craven Local PlanThe commitment to provide this SPD is set out in the Council’s Local Development Scheme. The SPD assists applicants in preparing and submitting policy compliant planning applications in respect of the principles of good design.

Comments on the draft SPD should be received no later than the end date, above, and may be submitted by email (preferred) to spatialplanning@cravendc.gov.uk or by post to the Spatial Planning Team, Craven District Council, 1 Belle Vue Square, Broughton Road, Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 1FJ. Paper copies of the draft SPD are available for inspection at the Council's main reception, which is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 4:30pm Friday, and at local libraries in Skipton, Settle, Bentham, Cross Hills, Ingleton, Gargrave and Embsay.

In making your representations please be as clear as possible about which parts of the SPD you are referring to. You should make specific reference to the relevant paragraph numbers and sections in your response. There are no representation forms for this consultation.

If you wish to be directly notified about approval of the finalised SPD and about future spatial planning consultations, please subscribe for free via the subscriptions webpage (there is no need for existing subscribers to subscribe again).
