Diversion Order application

An application has been received to divert part of footpath 05.21/55 under section 257 of the Town and Country Planning Act.

The diversion of the footpath is required in order to enable development to be carried out in accordance with planning permission under planning ref.2017/19695/FUL granted for a residential development south of Station Road, Giggleswick.

If the diversion goes ahead, the path shown by the continuous line between points A – B on the plan will be closed. The footpath will be diverted to a new route as shown on the plan running D-C-B.

Craven District Council would welcome your comments on this proposal. You may support the proposal or oppose it. If you oppose the proposal we should like to know. Comments may be about any of the following:

  • how useful the path is
  • the historical character of the path
  • the links with the rest of the rights of way network

 

Please note that this notice forms part of the preliminary consultation exercise and that no decision has yet been made. The proposed diversion routes remain private.
