(If driving turn off gargrave road towards craven college - Skipton academy then follow the drive down to craven leisure).

The nearest Bus Stop is 0.3 miles away on Gargrave Road. The nearest train station is Skipton Train Station 0.5 miles away on Broughton Road - accessible through Aireville Park

8 disabled parking spaces are available at the front of the building.

Entrances
Our Pool & Fitness Centre has level entry and automatic doors.
It is built on one level to allow complete access to any customer regardless of their ability.

Accessible Toilets
The centre has four accessible toilets, two have shower facilities, one of which also has a changing bed and motorised hoist.

Induction Loops/Audio
A hearing loop is available throughout the centre.

Dementia Friendly 
In September 2018 the toilets were refurbished included new colour scheme, signage and flooring to make the area more dementia friendly and easier to use for people with disabilities and the centre was audited to make sure that it was dementia friendly in 2019. 

Additional Information

The centre has two swimming pools which are connected.

The pools have a fully submersible hoist that allows customers to swim from one pool to the other (without leaving either pool).

The small pool has a moveable floor that can be adjusted to from 0.0 (level with the changing area) to 1.8 metres (6ft) and is 12 metres by 7 metres.

The main pool is a 25 metre by 12.95 metre pool, it is 0.9 metre deep at the shallow end with a uniform slope down to 1.8 metres at the deep end.

The main pool is maintained at a temperature of 29°C to 30°C and the small pool operates at a temperature of 32°C.

The Centre is Inclusive Fitness Initiative (IFI) accredited.

Craven Leisure is registered as a Safe Place under the North Yorkshire Safe Places Scheme which means that anyone who might need help and support when they are out and about in the community can call in to get assistance.
