#CreateToConnect is two weeks of creative challenges to promote conversation, connection and creative activity in an extraordinary time of remote working and self isolation. A creative challenge is a playful prompt to inspire accessible creative action - for children, older people and everybody in between. Sign up to receive your daily challenge by email, and share your creativity on Social Media, in WhatsApp groups, with friends, family, neighbours and colleagues.

Settle Stories

Settle Stories are running a free Children's Story Competition as part of the Yorkshire Festival of Story.

The competition is being judged by Waterstones Children's Laureate Cressida Cowell. Cowell, the best-selling author of How To Train Your Dragon, is encouraging children aged between 7 - 11 to write 750 words set in Yorkshire.

Winners and runners-up will receive a whole host of prizes, including a personalised response from Cressida, a performance of their stories at Yorkshire Festival of Story, and many more. The winner will be awarded signed copies of the first How to Train Your Dragon book and a free day of storytelling at their school.

Down the Rabbit Hole - Settle Stories has created an interactive adventure where you decide who you meet and where you go. The question is, can you find Alice?
